Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service Visit

By 2 October 2023No Comments

Our Early Years Griffins were thrilled to be visited by a fire engine this morning as part of their learning around the topic: ‘me and my community.’

During their learning, they have been exploring local areas in the community and also people who help us. They were fortunate to have a visit from the local fire station who showed the children the fire engine, let them look at the equipment and some even had a go at using the hose to spray the water. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking inside the truck, trying on the helmets and even got to listen to the siren and watch the flashing lights.

The children showed exemplary Griffin behaviours throughout and were very inquisitive. The children were asked when the fire engine uses its flashing lights and they told us ‘only when they go to an emergency!’

Thank you Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service for visiting us! 👩🏼‍🚒🔥
