🧜♀️🌊 Our very own Park Lane Mermaid! 🌊🧜♀️We were absolutely thrilled to take part in this year’s Stockingford Scarecrow Festival, with its sea-themed inspiration, and of course, we had to create our very own Park Lane Mermaid! 🐚✨A huge thank you to some of our wonderful staff who took the time to get creative and bring our mermaid to life, and to some of our lovely families for their kind donations to help make it all possible. We really appreciate your support! 💙It’s certainly been a windy weekend, and we think our mermaid would have been very glad that she got to enjoy the calmer weather indoors before the winds picked up! 🌬️😂🧜♀️We hope lots of our local community managed to spot her over the weekend! Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the festival such a lovely community event. 🩵#StockingfordScarecrowFestival #ParkLaneMermaid #CommunitySpirit #TeamParkLane 🧜♀️🌊
🚴♀️🚲 Cycle to School Week at Park Lane! 📚✏️What a fantastic week celebrating Cycle to School Week at Park Lane! 🌟Our Year 5 pupils took on Bikeability Level 2, developing their cycling skills and confidence, while our Year 3 pupils completed Bikeability Level 1, learning important skills to help them ride safely. 🚴♂️👏At OPAL, children also had the opportunity to ride their own bikes and scooters, encouraging active travel and promoting the benefits of travelling to and from school in a healthy, active way. 🛴🚲Our Year 3 pupils even brightened up their bags with some brand-new keyrings! 🎒✨A massive thank you to NWActive for supporting our children throughout the week. Your amazing staff have been fantastic, helping our pupils build their confidence, develop their cycling skills and enjoy learning new things. We really appreciate all your support! 💚🙌Cycle to School Week, which took place from Monday 5th to Friday 9th October 2026, is a national celebration encouraging schools and families to discover the benefits of everyday cycling. It’s all about building confidence, keeping active, protecting our environment and making the school run quicker, healthier, cheaper and a whole lot more fun! 🌍💚At Park Lane, we are proud to encourage our children to develop healthy habits, become more confident on two wheels and understand the importance of safe and active travel. Every journey counts! 🚲A huge well done to all our pupils for getting involved and embracing the challenge! 💛🖤#ParkLanePrimary #CycleToSchoolWeek #NWActive #Bikeability #ActiveTravel #HealthyLifestyles #OPALPlay #SafeAndActiveTravel
🪩💃 Year 1’s Tricky Word Disco! 🕺🎶What better way to end a busy week than with a Tricky Word Disco! 🌟Year 1 had a fantastic time dancing along to their favourite party tunes. When the music stopped, it was time to find the nearest tricky word and write it down! ✏️🎵The children had so much fun whilst practising their common exception words and showing off their fantastic phonics knowledge. Who knew learning to read and spell could be so much fun?! 🥳A brilliant way to end the week with lots of dancing, learning and smiles all round! ❤️
