Some of our Griffins had the wonderful opportunity last Wednesday to take part in a photography workshop led by a member of staff from Race Leys Junior School – another school in our collegiate as part of the Griffin Schools Trust.
The children learned about the equipment used in an indoor photography setting and were then given the opportunity to use the equipment where they considered the type of lighting used, focus and aperture – the size of the opening in your camera which determines how much light enters your lens. As well as this, they also learned about when a flash may be useful.
We are now hoping to expand on this workshop and take some images from our natural surroundings to enter into Nuneaton’s Festival of Arts. Keep your eyes peeled for our entries once this is organised…
