Some of our Griffins had the pleasure of visiting Mary Arden’s farm today. They began the trip with some warm up activities before exploring Shakespeare’s play Macbeth considering some of the scenes and what they would look like in freeze frames. They had great fun in the sunshine creating their freeze frames!
After a short break for lunch, the children learned some background information about Mary Arden and her famous son: William Shakespeare. We were able to see the house she grew up in and the animals still kept there before splitting off into groups to perform Macbeth and its famous battle scene. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and were fully immersed from start to finish – we hope you had a wonderful day!
