Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

By 7 November 2023November 20th, 2023No Comments
The holiday activities and food (HAF) programme is a Department for Education-funded initiative aimed at pupils in school years Reception – Year 11 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. Children attend activity based sessions during the school holidays – Park Lane School is one of the HAF locations and this is run by Kits Academy in sessions usually signposted to you closer to the holidays.
Each HAF session combines enriching activities with a nutritious meal (which meets school standards like their term-time school meal).
Each HAF code is unique to the young person and entitles them to 4 sessions during Winter HAF, 4 sessions during Spring HAF and 16 sessions for Summer HAF.
Here’s the link to the HAF website which explains the programme and eligibility criteria. You can also request a HAF code so you have this in advance of the upcoming Christmas break – the next opportunity to utilise these.
Thank you!
