Year 6 RAF Trip

Our Year 6 trip to RAF Cosford was an exciting and memorable learning experience that brought history to life. During the visit, our year 6 Griffins explored a wide range of aircraft from World War I, World War II and the Cold War, giving them a deeper understanding of how aviation has developed over time and the important role it has played in global events. The children were fascinated by the different designs, technologies and stories behind each plane.
One of the highlights of the trip was the interactive workshop, where pupils examined real-life case studies of pilots from the past. They worked in groups to learn about these individuals, their experiences and their contributions. The children then performed short presentations in front of the actual aircraft linked to their pilot, sharing these powerful stories with the rest of the group. This activity helped to build confidence, teamwork and empathy, while making history more engaging and meaningful.
Well done, Year 6!
