Our Year 1 Griffins had an amazing time stepping back in time at the Black Country Museum! They experienced a 1950s-style school lesson, learning reading, writing, and arithmetic—plus a glimpse of what happened if you misbehaved back then (the dreaded cane!
).

The children explored old-fashioned sweet shops, toy stores, bakeries, and record shops, comparing life then to now. They also learned about the differences between rich and poor households, visited car garages, and even watched a classic film at the vintage cinema!

A fantastic day filled with fun, history, and hands-on learning! Well done, Griffins!
