The Sports and Arts Fund (SAF) will fund any sport or arts related activity and/or equipment. It can be used to support an activity that takes place either on or off school premises. The fund is open to students in Year 3 to Year 6. The closing date for all applications will be Friday 28th April 23′.
Guidance for completing the application Students must complete the application form and include a sponsoring adult.
The student must:
– Describe the item they are applying for, being as specific as possible, providing weblinks to items where possible and giving sizes required where applicable.
– Explain the current level they are at and for how long their engagement has been going on. For example, grade 3 violin proficiency, regularly play for a local sport team, are part of a community choir, gymnastics club or amateur dramatics
group and specify the time period.
– Describe precisely and clearly how the item will help them to develop their skill and engagement further.
– Maintain a very good level of school attendance (above 98%)
– Agree to send some evidence that they have received the award. This evidence can take any reasonable form including a photograph. Evidence may be used to publicise the fund to raise more money.
The sponsoring adult must:
– Help the student complete the form and ensure it is completed fully.
– Remind the student that the deadline is absolutely non-negotiable.
– Offer any other help or encouragement they think reasonable.
