Yesterday, Key Stage 2 marked Remembrance Day with a special assembly, where pupils watched a video to help them understand why our country observes this important occasion. Mrs Lawrence opened and closed a time of respectful silence by playing The Last Post, creating a thoughtful atmosphere.
To end the assembly, Hamna, Alfie, Ellison and Thea from Year 6 shared poignant poetry that encouraged everyone to think deeply about the meaning of remembrance. The children did us proud, showing great respect and offering thoughtful reflections on why we gather each year to remember.
Our Early Years and Key Stage 1 Griffins also completed an in class remembrance assembly followed by their silence.
We are extremely proud of all of our Griffins!
