Today, our amazing Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Bikeability Bus, promoting active, safe and sustainable travel to and from school. Throughout the day, they developed key cycling skills, built confidence on the roads, and experienced the benefits of travelling actively as a group. 
This activity links perfectly with our upcoming Fieldwork Fortnight, where pupils will be out exploring local landmarks and features around our school community. From parks and green spaces to historic sites and local routes, we’ll be using our surroundings to deepen learning across geography, history and citizenship. 
It’s fantastic to see our pupils engaging with their local area in such a meaningful and healthy way. Active travel and fieldwork go hand in hand – helping children connect with the world around them while building skills for life.
