With Chinese New Year coming up next week, our Preschool and Mini Griffins children have been learning all about this special celebration.
To bring their learning to life, they took part in their own Chinese dragon dance around the nursery playground. The children wore traditional clothing and used colourful scarves as they danced together. They showed great excitement and enthusiasm as they followed the dragon around the playground. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in and working together.
During the week, the children also learned about Lunar New Year and why it is celebrated. They talked about traditions, decorations and how families prepare for the festival. Taking part in the dragon dance helped them experience a new tradition in a fun and engaging way. The children were very proud of their dancing and had lots of smiles and laughter throughout the activity. Well done, Nursery Griffins!
