Yesterday, our Year 4s had an immersive day learning all about Roman Britain.
They joined Boudicca and the Iceni tribe as they prepared to take on the invading Romans in battle. They also took on the role of archeologists, sorting and classifying genuine Roman artefacts. Later, they went on a Roman Ramble, identifying some of the key areas of the heritage site, imagining what life might have been like for people living in the area at the time. They also learnt all about life as a Roman soldier, including the importance of the armour worn. Despite the bitter cold, there were lots of happy children, who were engaged in all of the activities; they did Park Lane proud.
