To further our love of reading and celebrate the wonderfully classic tales of loved literature, a group of Key Stage 2 children participated in an exhilarating musical theatre workshop entitled Alice in Wonderland: Play in a Day. This unique experience was led by the talented theatre performer, Ollie, who guided our students through an engaging exploration of Lewis Carroll’s timeless story.
Each group was allocated a mere 30 minutes to immerse themselves in one chapter of this enchanting tale, allowing the children to bring its fantastical characters and vibrant scenes to life through physical performance. The transformation from script to stage was nothing short of remarkable, as they captured the essence of Alice in Wonderland beautifully with their acting skills, demonstrating a profound understanding of the narrative’s whimsy and complexity.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the students united in an impressive performance for the entire school, showcasing their hard work and creativity. The behaviour exhibited throughout the day was exemplary, reflecting the dedication and enthusiasm of all involved. We are immensely proud of the children’s incredible achievements; their phenomenal efforts have made this a day to remember and an invaluable addition to their educational journey.
